We went for a stroll around some of Bewl Water today and Izzy got plenty of exercise running around and paddling !

Hickstead

We had a lovely day out at Hickstead to watch the showjumping. Izzy particularly enjoyed an impromtu lunch when we stopped to chat to her friends Molly and Rose and their owner dropped her lunch(a large sausage) She didn't watch much of the jumping action however as she spent most of the afternoon asleep.

Hi,
We haven't done anything very exciting so far this year to report on. We have bought some new Ordnance Survey maps of our local area and have been out exploring. Some of the walks we have done around Dormansland have been particularly good. We've also done quite a few walks up on Ashdown Forest with Izzy's new friends Cocoa and Monty who are Tibetan Terriers.. Another place we visit frequently is Weirwood Reservoir.The nature reserve there is lovely and the reservoir is full for the first time in a number of years.We saw a pair of Kingfishers there a few weeks ago which was very exciting.

Day out in the Surrey Hills

On Saturday 18th November it was a lovely sunny autumn day so we headed off into Surrey to try and get some photos of autumn trees. First stop was up onto Boxhill where Izzy had a lovely run and the view was amazing. After some nice National Trust cake we headed onto Winkworth Arboretum where there is a huge collection of both native and foreign trees many of which were specially selected for their autumn colour. Izzy had to stay on her lead at the Arboretum but she was very well behaved. We finished up with a warming hot chocolate from the cafe before heading home.

Petworth Park

We went and checked out the grounds of the lovely Petworth House in West Sussex which is owned by the National Trust. The parkland is huge and there are around a thousand fallow deer who live there. Izzy was quite impressed by the deer but managed to be impeccably well behaved and didn't chase any of them.

Cross Country at Ardingly

Today we went down to the South of England showground and watched the cross country (horses). They were also holding a dog show, which was a mini crufts type affair. Izzy would have entered, but we couldnt find the 'Best in big eared' class...

We just got back from a 3 day break in Bologna, Italy.
Lovely place with some fantastic sights to see. Have a look at the photo's over on the Boogaloo Photo website. We were lucky enough to get some great shots.

Bank Holiday Monday Walk

We went on a 3 and a half mile walk near Turners Hill in West Sussex. It was one we found on the Ashdown Forest Ramblers club website ( see links pages) and was mostly over farmland with patches of woodland starting from Selsfield Common which is owned by the National Trust. Izzy loved running in the open fields!

Woke up to miserable weather but after we had been out to lunch decided to take Izzy down to Staffhurst Wood in Hurst Green, Surrey. The sun came out and we had a nice easy walk through this lovely patch of Woodland owned and managed by the Woodland Trust. Izzy got rather warm and decided to have a dip in a green and stagnant pond on the way back to the car!

New website launched

We managed to get the new website up and running without too much hassle. I'm not too sure about the top picture though, the dog looks far too well behaved !.
Over the course of the next few weeks, we'll be adding stuff to the website. Good walks we've been on, where all the nice pubs are and some photo's of the dog misbehaving.
